Introduction

The Office of Disability Services coordinates the provision of appropriate and reasonable academic accommodations and support services for any qualified student with a properly documented disability.

The University of Evansville is strongly committed to providing an accessible and supportive environment for students with disabilities and is committed to treating all individuals in a fair and equitable manner. It is the policy and practice of the University of Evansville to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, as amended, and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. Under these laws, no otherwise qualified individual with a disability will be denied access to participation in courses, programs, services, or activities at the University of Evansville.

To ensure access for all students with disabilities, Disability Services staff members work closely with each student and the University community to develop and coordinate the implementation of appropriate accommodations. Accommodations vary depending on the nature of the disability and are determined on an individual basis.
